Shipping label Requirements
PACK AS INSTRUCTED: Participant will ship all boxes per the detailed packing instruction provided by Dorado. Participant will use all shipping labels provided and will match tracking numbers to contents as instructed by Dorado.
Permitted Carrier: Participant shall only use United Parcel Service (herein referred to as “UPS”) as the carrier. Participant shall only use the shipping label delivered by Dorado for the shipment for which the shipping label is intended by Dorado.
Permitted Property: The only property that is permitted to be shipped are precious metals.
Requirement of Signature at Delivery: Signature Services are required for delivery. Residential addresses will require an adult signature. No shipment is permitted to be delivered under a “waiver of signature,” “release signature status” or similar service booking, agreement or arrangement with the carrier.
Cooperation: Participant shall cooperate with the carrier and be responsive to the carrier to facilitate delivery.
Exclusions: Participant shall not use the Shipping Program to ship any of the following: illicit property; property that is damaged; fragile and delicate items such as those used for clocks or glassware.
Information: Participant shall not use or provide false or erroneous information. Package labels shall not be used for the purpose of fraudulent redirection.
Fraud: Participant shall not use the Shipping Program to perpetrate or further fraud or a trick upon the carrier or Dorado.
UPS Only Branded Boxes: When using carrier=provided shipping materials, participant may only use boxes, packaging tape (security tape is not allowed), labels or other materials with branding, logos, designs or other graphics of UPS (United Parcel Service) No other logo, branding, graphics, designs may appear anywhere on any part of participant's shipment.
Double Box: All packages must be double boxed in new boxes and packaging and must include the tracking number on the inner box. Dorado strongly recommends printing a second copy of the label and adhering it to the inner box. Using recycled or reused boxes is not allowable and may void insurance coverage. The outer box must be larger than 100 cubic inches. The inner box must not be a small box that could be easily not found and/or discarded. Envelopes and packs shall not be used.
Appropriate Packaging: Participants must package contents using appropriate materials and methods, including without limitation, material of boxes, strength of packaging tape, reinforcement materials, fillers, and type of boxes, that will ensure that the contents of the box will withstand the rigors of shipment.
Packing List: Participant agrees to place a copy of the Dorado-provided packing list inside of the inner box.
Photographic documentation: In the event of a claim, participant shall provide the following images FOR EACH TRACKING NUMBER.
Image of items packed into the inner box, including the packing list.
Images of the finished inner box, secured with packing tape and with a tracking number written on the outside.
Image of the finished package showing a legible tracking number.
Tender to Carrier: Packages must ONLY be picked up at participant’s location. Participant shall obtain proof the package was picked up by the designated carrier. Video or photograph is acceptable; Dorado recommends printing a 3rd copy of the label and having the driver sign that. by the designated carrier. Any exception is a violation of this agreement.
Do Not Reveal Package Content: Participant must not allow any indication of high value content to appear on a waybill, labeling, by means of verbal communication, or package exterior. For example, never reference brands or auction houses or use words such as “precious metals,” “gold,” “silver,” or abbreviations that represent the high value content.
Do Not Declare a Value with the Carrier: Never declare a value for liability or any other purpose with the approved carrier or any other vendor. Dorado declares the value of the package for insurance in the generation of the Shipping Label.
Furnish Accurate and Complete Information: Participant must accurately and comprehensively provide all information and documentation required by Dorado. Participant errors or omissions in furnishing information and documentation will void insurance coverage and may result in losses and liabilities for which Participant will be responsible.
Maintain Packaging: No claims for loss or damage shall be valid unless the package, inner cartons, packing and contents have been preserved until made available for inspection by Dorado or the Insurance Underwriter.
Claim Reporting Limitation: Participant should immediately report to Dorado in writing any loss or damage to insured goods no later than five (5) days from the date on which coverage for the goods commenced, or ten (10) days in the event of a covered refused shipment returned.
Claim Process: By making any claim, Participant warrants that Participant is the sole owner of such claim and that Participant has not released any third party from liability for the claim (including but not limited to the designated approved carrier). The Insurance Underwriter has the exclusive authority to determine all issues of insurance coverage and claim settlement. Participant must fully cooperate in providing all documentation and information pertinent to a claim, including an examination under oath if requested. Should the Insurance Underwriters dispute liability or coverage for any reason, Participant shall have no recourse against Dorado and Dorado shall not be under any responsibility or liability in relation thereto.
